With a Kings’ Prepaid Funeral, you purchase at current rates. Regardless of future price increases, Kings will provide the goods and services listed in your prepaid contract at the original price.
A Funeral Bond Can Help Preserve Your Pension Entitlements
Prepaying funeral costs can reduce your current assets, potentially protecting your Centrelink pension entitlements. As of 1 July 2025, up to $15,750 invested in a funeral bond is exempt from the Centrelink Asset Test. If invested into a funeral bond with a prepaid contract, there is no limit.
Flexible Payment Options
Choose to pay the full amount upfront, in lump sums, or via direct debit over time. When paying in instalments, funds go directly into a bond, but prices are not locked in until you reach your target amount, at which point a prepaid funeral contract can be prepared and signed.

No waiting period, qualifying period, or medical requirements.
You Are Protected if You Travel
Optional Away From Home Cover provides substantial assistance towards transportation costs. When requested, we can arrange an application if death occurs 100km or more from your residential address with an additional fee of $120.00.
SAFETY & FLEXIBILITY
Your Prepaid Funeral Investment Can Move with You
If you relocate and wish for the funeral to be held in your new area, the funeral bond can be reassigned to a local funeral director.
Update Your Funeral Plans at Any Time
Contracts can be upgraded at any time, with increased costs paid by the client or, if changes are made at the time of the funeral, by the estate.
Your Investment is Protected
In Victoria, legislation mandates that all prepaid funds be invested with a friendly society. Funeral directors cannot access these funds until the funeral occurs. If your funeral director ceases trading, your bond and contract will be reassigned to another director at no extra cost.
